Language of Flowers in Marriage

The Language of Flowers in Marriage

The bridal bouquet reflects the type of marriage that the couple hopes to achieve. A White Bible ceremony centered with flowers is an excellent way to give advice to engaged couples. Some of the common flowers that you can use in a nosegay are the greenery, rose, lily of the valley and carnations. The language of flowers like these speaks volumes about marriage.

A rose represents eternal love. The Lily of the Valley indicates sweetness; happiness; humility and purity. A carnation symbolizes bonds of affection and fascination. Leaves or greenery in wedding arrangements signify marital success. As each piece is inserted into the nosegay, couples of varying stages of marriage may give Biblical, personal and expert marriage advice. Of course a White Family Bible is presented to the couple.
