Instruments of A Successful Marriage

Instruments of a Successful Marriage
White Bible Ceremony

This White Bible Ceremony is entitled: Instruments of a Successful Marriage. During this Bible Ceremony participants share some characteristics that make a successful marriage. Selected advice from the Bible, from leading Christian authorities in the area of family relations and personal experiences will be given to the honorees. To represent each characteristic, a musical instrument will be placed on a stand for hanging ornaments. The stand represents the wholeness of marriage. The musical instrument ornaments represent the melodious characteristics of a successful marriage.
The blending of these characteristics is like harmonizing musical sounds from instruments. It is like cymbals in an orchestra performing with other instruments to make a total piece of music. In the realm of music a violinist depends upon a bow and a violin to make beautiful music. The two parts performs together to produce a melodious sound. It is the same in marriage; it will take both marriage partners to make the beautiful music of a successful marriage. A harp ornament on the music stand of marriage represents the soothing tones that come from God’s kind of love. A Married man and woman should sound out their blessings like a musician who plays the ivory keys of a piano or pipes of an organ. List them one by one as the two individuals communicate to God with praise and honor for their marriage. A trumpeter realizes when one fails to practice that the musical rendition will not be as beautiful. The trumpet player avoids missing notes by regular practice. Marriage partners need to practice reading God’s Word and praying together on a daily basis. Like musicians performing harmonious and melodious music with their instruments, couples seeking a marriage that will last into eternity will perform notes of unity, love, harmony and commitment and communication. A successful marriage will give sounds of musical success throughout the lifetime of the couple.
