Marriage Advice for a Successful Adventure


Marriage is an adventure. There are at least five characteristics of a wholesome and healthy marriage that lasts into eternity. These characteristics are represented by ornaments of things that are found on an outdoor adventure. A successful marriage is based upon the Bible. When couples read their Bibles everyday and pray together, they have a greater chance of staying together. A home represents the protection and security that is needed for a family unit. A home should be built upon the firm foundation of Christ. Adventurers often enjoy the wildflowers of nature. Wildflowers represent love and affection. Everyday couples should say, "I love You" and show affection. Birds of the air remind the couple of freedom from financial burdens. Be conservative with debts and expenditures. Plan a budget and stick to it. Always save for a rainy day adventure when trials and tribulations affect the family unit. Finally, the pinecone represents the blessings that God bestows upon a couple who trusts in Him. These adventure- type ornaments are hung on a tree or stand that symbolizes marriage. The wood represents the adventure that of living together. The copper represents the durability and strength of a couple who strives to keep their wedding vows until the death of one of the spouses.
